Gluten Free Blondie Mayhem

Hello Sugar Lovers!

So I guess I am getting all my failures out of the way right off the bat for 2019. These didn’t fail completely…..as long as you don’t turn them over.

This story begins when I went to the grocery store to get our food for the week. I have always wanted to try this brand but they are usually way to expensive. This week though the baking gods decided it was my time because they were 50% off. I picked up a package of Blondie mix and headed out on my adventure. This is a gluten free Blondie mix. When you look on the back it is pretty much just like any regular baking mix so it didn’t look to intimidating. It actually wasn’t overly difficult to make. The brand is xobaking company.

Ingredients:

  • Blondie Mix
  • Chocolate Chips (half bag)

Tools:

  • You will need a blender for this mix as it is thick

*Everything else you should be able to find in your kitchen*

So to start your going to mix everything together like you would any pre-made mix. I will say I wasn’t expecting it to be as thick as it was. I thought I would be able to mix it together with a spoon but that failed pretty hard and fast. I had to break out my mixer so I would advice to not even attempt to stir it by hand unless you want a good arm work out than give’er.

For the added ingredient I chose chocolate chips just because that is what I had on hand. You can choose whatever you like. I believe there was some examples on the back of possible add on’s. I think I would have rather had white chocolate instead. I probably would have went together better.

I’m not entirely sure what makes it so thick but its possible not all brands are the same. So you can pop them in the oven and set your timer for what the box instructs.

Now this is the part where I think I fudged up. It says just like any box that your advised to cook them until you can stick a toothpick in and it comes out clean. So I did this and it came out clean. However when I cut in to them it seemed strange that it came out so clean because the middle was still quite gooey. Now I think maybe the bottom and the top cooked faster than the center. I’m no science wiz….which I’m sure you guys know by now but that seems the only logical reason. So maybe yours will turn out differently so let me know how yours went and anything you did differently so I can learn from my lovely mistakes!
