Hello Sugar Lovers!
Well this project bit the big one. As you can see from the lovely picture my project did not go as planned. The title is harsh but the annoyance that I went through with this I felt like I deserve to vent about my jello fiasco a bit.
So this time I wanted to do something a bit different. I haven’t worked with jello much so I thought I could make a neat jello mold. This is not what happened. I seem to always make the mistake of thinking that something will be simple and then I manage to mess it up. At least that’s one thing I’m awesome at!
The ingredients are easy just get a jello packet and follow the directions on the back to make the jello mixture. You will also need to get a mold that you like. Everything else you will be able to find in your kitchen. You can also choose to put some fruit in the mold as well. I did this for my first attempt.

Making the jellow wasn’t the tough part. Although for me it was because I don’t have a kettle so I used my Keurig so I could boil the water quickly rather than in a pot.

Once that is finished your going to pour the jellow into a mold of your choosing. Now for my first attempt I went with blueberry jello. I placed blurberrys in the molds before I poured the jello in.

Then I put it in the fridge to cool. Once I took it out I figured it would just pop out once I tipped it over. Oh no no that is not what happened it turned into this.

….ya…. My friend informed me that at least it looks like some sort of abstract art. So at least its looking on the bright side of life.
Once that didn’t work I decided that I should probably actually look into how to make a jello mold and not just wing it….as fun as that is.
So I read a few tips that I thought would help me. Some people will put baking spray in the bottom of the mold. I didn’t do that because it just seems like a bad idea. I would think that it would taste like baking spray and it would have like a filament on it.
There was also a tip to run a knife along the edges of the mold. I used a fondant tool instead so that it would be more gentle. Also dipping the bottom of the mold into some hot water. Holding it there for a few seconds.

Also a tip of my own. Make sure you have the mold on something hard if your mold is pretty pliable. I had to use a cake lifter to get mine into the fridge or else it would pour out.

I tried all of this with those tips and this is what happened.

Yup, so it didn’t work. I’m sure there is something that I’m doing wrong but frankly I need some time away from jello.
Sorry that this one kinda sucked guys. Maybe I will try again another time. Also I wanted to let you guys know that I do know the blogs have been a bit far between. This is because I am still having some technical difficulties. I am currently having to write my blogs on my phone so just try and bare with me.
