Hello Sugar Lovers!
Today we are making some Christmas chocolates. I hope everyone is having a great holiday. This will be my last Christmas post of the year so let’s make it count! I decided I just wanted to get some chocolate and have some fun with some molds and my melting pot. So let’s make some chocolates, Christmas style!
Ingredients
- Red and green chocolate wafers
- Sprinkles are optional
Tools
- melting pot
- melting tools (images will be down below)
- chocolate molds (Christmas themed)
*everything else you should be able to find in your kitchen*
Alright guys so your going to want to set up your melting pot. I put mine on high to melt the chocolate and then reduce it to low so it keeps it warm while I’m working. You can also use a bowl over a pot of boiling water….obviously one that won’t melt. So I started with green wafers first.

So your going to want to get your molds ready while you are letting your chocolate melt. I put 3 molds on to a baking sheet just in case of any chocolate coming off the mold.

Once your chocolate has melted you can start to put it into the molds. You don’t need to spray the molds with anything the chocolate won’t stick to them. Now this part was pretty difficult….let me clarify…I hated this part…hence the “son of a nutcracker” title. I used some of the tools that came with my melting pot but it was still kind of complicated. The tool I used the most was the swirly tipped one….. Great description I know. I tipped the pot slowly to let a small amount out into the mold. I used the tool to slowly push some of the chocolate out and into the mold. There is no great way to do it so just give it your all guys!

Look at that hot mess! So the molds are all filled now you can put the tray into the fridge. It won’t take long for them to harden. Your then going to wash the pot out and start on the red wafers and repeat the process.

As you can see there is a lot of over flow but you can fix that so no worries.
When they are hardened you can go through them and slowly cut off any access. Then your all done. See not to difficult. It’s an easy way to make some christmas desserts. You can also choose to use sprinkles If you want. I experimented with them a little but it didn’t really work well. I think I need more practice. I just put some sprinkles in the molds and then filled it with chocolate.

A tip that my grandma gave me is to not wash the molds with soap. Just use water because if you use soap then its possible the chocolate will start sticking to the mold.
Then you are all set to snack on some chocolates!

I will say guys, I am having some bad technical difficulties. I had to write this blog on my phone so I hope I can figure it out in the new year! I have a spacial treat planned for the new year so stay tuned!
